Complex problems rarely belong to one discipline, and that's where I like to work. Thinking in systems and beyond, I've found the answers to the hardest ones waiting where one field runs into another. DevSecOps is my day job; systems engineering methods are the principles I steer by.

How it holds together
Range only works with rhythm. My weeks run in short cycles, my notes link across fields, and every project keeps a record of why I chose what I chose. This site is the visible part: versioned, so unfinished work can be shown honestly.

Where they meet
Koestler called it bisociation: one idea, seen from two worlds at once.
Kasser, in the ring
I brought Kasser's habit of looking from many perspectives into the ring. A fight stopped being a contest of techniques and became a problem to name: who is in front of me, what do they do better, and where can I meet them on my terms. write-up coming

A model in the corner
In 2020 I applied machine learning to MMA, before I had the words for half of what I was doing. I'm refactoring it now, with everything I've learned since. refactor in progress
